UPDATE: almost a year later and still the best Donair I've had in Edmonton! Will travel across the city from the west end for this Donair. Massive portions and super fresh and flavorful. Poutine was a tasty addition to our meal today. Will definitely be back soon!! Incredible doesn't do this food justice. I tried the king spicy Donair with the garlic sauce and it was amazing. Big portion well flavored and put together Donair. Simon King Donair is, bar none, the best donair I've ever had. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Service was friendly and fast.
The interior is a bit dingy looking, but clean (and what good donair place isn't dingy looking) but by far the best donair sub i've had in my 30 years of eating donairs and donair subs. They toasted up the bun so it didn't get mushy and the meat was superb.
Beef donair was delicious. The food came out fast and hot. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean.
Server was fast and very kind. Restaurant was exceptionally clean and had a nice vibe to it. The donairs and fries were delicious compared to the other ones nearby. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something to clear your hunger
So delicious! They take their time to wait for the meats toast up nice instead of rushing orders. They listen closely to your order. It's always clean with a community feel...and if you feel in in your heart to take extra care of them, they take extra care of you.
Yeahhh buddy. Back with another great donair review! And this has got to be one of the better Southside locations!! Don't pass up this Littlw donair shop tucked away in the parking lot, Attached to the strip mall there's this great little location called Simon King! Hes the king for a reason. He makes a great hand crafted donair! I only came in to try the Donair as I have tried some places by Millbourn and Millwoods and nothing could compare to this Family Style Old school recipe!! Make sure to try the Jumbo! You won't be disappointed, and if you are! Talk to the owner your self and im sure they would be proud to fix it! I have had a great experience ordering just simple and fast. I now return for a donair 1 or 2 times a month. ENJOY!
I don't live in Edmonton anymore. Whenever I get back to town though, if I'm looking for something quick and tasty, this is my go-to. I've been coming here for 30 years, and it's amongst the best burgers and donairs in town.
